Ben Platt, Henry Platt, and Jonah Platt are very talented Jewish brothers.

Ben Platt, Henry Platt, and Jonah Platt are three Jewish brothers with voices of the angels. You may already be familiar with Ben Platt, who made a name for himself as the star of Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, but it turns out he’s not the only Platt who can sing. Seriously, just watch the three of them sing Ahavat Olam, a Hebrew prayer, and then we can continue on with this article:
Okay, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, we’d like to give you everything you know about this talented set of brothers known affectionately as the Brothers Platt.
The Platt Parents
Their dad, Marc Platt, is a movie, TV, and theater producer. (He has produced a loooong list of things,fromLegally BlondeandRent Live!).
Their mom, Julie Platt, is the current board chair of the Foundation for Jewish Camp. She is also a past board chair of Camp Ramah, led the advisory board of directors for the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, and former board chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas in a small Jewish community.
“On a great day, we were 1,000 people. In my high school graduating class of 671 students, I was the only Jew. But I actually think that when you are from a small town, the necessity to stand up and be counted is even stronger,” she recalls. “I felt from the beginning that if we Jews didn’t look out for the Jewish community, there wasn’t anybody else to step up. It wasn’t out of a sense of peril; it was a feeling of ‘l’dor v’dor,’ that I was a link in the chain.”
Marc and Julie raised their kids with a traditional Jewish upbringing to “protect them from Marc’s world, to teach them to be committed to a community larger than themselves and to live a grounded life.”
The Platt Family
The Platt siblings were raised in a Conservative Jewish family in Los Angeles. All five siblings (we’ll get to the sisters later) attended Camp Ramah in California, and went to Ramah Israel Seminar, a six-week trip to Israel for rising high school seniors.
“Obviously my family’s traditions are beautiful and I loved growing up in my family, but until I went to camp, everything was just what I was taught by the family, which is wonderful, but there comes a time when you need to figure out for yourself what is going to mean the most to you, and what will keep you connected to your Judaism,” Ben has said.

Ben Platt is arguably the most famous of the Brothers Platt; he originated the role of Evan Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen, released his debut album last year, Sing To Me Instead, and has a concert special on Netflix that was filmed at Radio City. He’s also dating Noah Galvin!

Jonah Platt
Jonah, 33, is the older brother. He’s also very talented; he was inWickedas Fiyero. He had a small role in The Office(as Frat Boy in the finale), was inJesus Christ Superstar Live, and voices a troll in Trolls: The Beat Goes On, among other things.
Jonah is married to Courtney Platt (née Galiano). They have a very cute baby, Joseph Michael Platt:

Henry Platt
The youngest Platt, Henry, is currently an undergrad at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is set to graduate next year (2021).
Henry, like his brothers, is a very good singer.
He’s the only Platt brother who understands TikTok, and for that, we are very impressed. Like, CHORAL BEYONCÉ?!
