A job description is the first impression of your company. It’s not enough to slap some responsibilities and requirements on a page and expect to hire great people. I recently came across a job description from Forsta that has a component that made me jump for joy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Here’s what they did... The brilliant minds at Forsta included a statistic that women and people of color are less likely to apply to a role unless they meet every single requirement. It’s unfortunate, but true. Job descriptions tend to be a bunch of marketing to convince jobseekers how great the opportunity is. They are overinflated on what it would take to be successful in the role. Minimum of 10 years experience? They’ll hire someone awesome with 7.Must have Salesforce experience? They’ll hire a rockstar who only knows Oracle. Remember this as you’re applying to jobs. Even if you meet 60% of the listed requirementsAPPLY!#jobseekers #jobdescriptions #applynow #hiring #opentonewopportunities #opentowork #hiringmanagers #applicationprocess

Hi everyone!I am extremely exhausted in applying plethora of jobs from past 6 months, but the conclusion seems to be nothing. I had undergone several interviews with big organisations like Adobe , NetCom Learning , Netcore Cloud , Tide , .efficiently and many more. But I am unable to understand what exactly is happening. I cleared all 4-5 rounds of interview and still the management rejected me by giving reasons like stability issue, they need particular sales experience, budget.Organisations are failing to judge all these criterias in the beginning of the interview process, why they are raising hopes of the candidates and investing the time with no result. Can anybody help me getting my interview aligned somewhere, I would be much grateful. I thoroughly need any opportunity that will come across me. Which organisation will give me the guarantee that they will not lay off suddenly? How an employee will manage with such sudden news and change in his/her life.I guess corporate world is full of robots with no humanity. They no more believe in honesty.I have a proven track record of success in Lead generation for Sales conversion for corporates with overall experience of approx 5+ years specially into ecommerce products and website marketing alongwith property management, real estates market and hosting.Tools Expertise: Power BI, Salesforce, Zimbra, Jira, Nimbus, Oracle IDE, Siebel, Leadsquare, Slack, Microsoft Excel and Access#hiring #businessdevelopment #remotejobs #toxicculture #layoffs

I receive a number of sincere direct messages (DM) almost every day, asking for referrals to Salesforce, Microsoft, or my networks.I truly empathise with the context of job search more than anyone, as for five years in a row, every single day, my students at all levels in the product school went through it. I lived in the center of their pain. It is not the job search that is painful but the silence and rejection associated. Layoffs and the stigma associated is worse. You're not alone in this. During this period, we often reach out frantically to every possible contact, including friends, community members, and even people we don’t know through cold DMs.Hang in there; job search takes time. Do the right things, and the right outcomes will follow. As a hiring manager, let me give you a glimpse of what happens on the other side. When you see a job ad, know that it is a result of the respective hiring manager working constantly on headcounts and investments through the year. We usually get lesser than what we ask for. Resource constraints is how economics works and that is not going to change. So every headcount is precious. We want to fill the headcount with the best talent available on planet earth. Also note, all headcount are available for a limited window. A hiring manager must fill the headcount in that window as it can be taken away anytime. When we start hiring we do so fervently. You might have seen hiring managers themselves posting about the open position. We do everything possible to get the word out to the right talent. Sometimes we get the word out in inner circle before the ad appears here. I have had/seen positions filled even before they go out as an ad. When supply is more than the demand, the org wins and vice versa. So, when you ask for a referral without any specific position, I struggle to figure out the best path forward. Questions like what positions are open, who is hiring, what grade/band etc.The second struggle is what will I tell the hiring manager/recruiter about you. I need to know something about you to speak on your behalf. Otherwise, your application via the website carries the same weight as my referral. The impact is low. The third struggle is, despite referrals you'll still go through the rigorous hiring process. You may clear all stages, only to face a hiring freeze or pause, or to find the position has been filled by someone else who had a better fitment. It's a cycle. While the willingness to help is there, our struggles inside the organization is different. Constantly following up after submitting your resume doesn’t help. Your referees are as helpless as you are. Empathy is there but action is usually outside our locus of control. Let me tell you this: when a requisition is open, the hiring team is buzzing. If I am quiet, it means I don’t have a requisition 😔We will discuss some tips and tricks on right things to do tomorrow 😇#mynotes

Hi LinkedIn,I have be affected by layoffs and am now #opentowork. If you or anyone you know is hiring a Salesforce practitioner, could you let me know or give a warm introduction?A little bit about me:Over the last 14.5 months, I have been taken on a whirlwind of a ride of growth, revelation and actualization of my value in the Salesforce space.I have been a technical trainer for 15 sessions (including at Dreamin' In Color Conference 2023) to grow learners in Salesforce topics like Salesforce CPQ, Salesforce Flow Builder and Salesforce Sharing and Visibility Architecture.I have acquired 7 Salesforce certifications (including acquiring the Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification on the first try after learning it for just ~3.5 months).I have become a Salesforce Flow Builder practitioner and was able to add automation value on a client engagement. If all of this has proven anything, it's that I can learn things quick and turn around and reinvest it to develop others; it's that I deliver consistent positive results; it's that I have a part to play in the Salesforce ecosystem. I am very confident that I will bring this same prowess and technical adeptness everywhere this life journey takes me.It's been a great ride leading up to this point and I gotta take this time to exert gratitude.Let's get it! 💪🏿 #salesforce #salesforceadmin #salesforceCPQ #salesforceflowbuilder#technicaltrainer #salesforcetrainer #layoffs #layoff
